Here's Carol Freedom Planet 2 First Impressions: Carol
Also the references of this one  Lilacs by MikeDarklighter

I mentioned before how in the first game though my favorite character was and is Carol, and how I love her play style the most. And yet, Lilac is still one I take a great deal of joy in, sometimes almost more than Carol in some regards, namely how she's able to chain her moves together. Freedom Planet 2 is a great example of fixing and improving on what works as opposed to trying to overhaul key mechanics just for the sake of being 'different.'

Lilac isn't changed as much as say Carol or Milla, but I'm quite happy to say that she is improved from the first game to be more fluid and elegant a fighter and speed type character. Her moves stay the same as they were with a few tweaks, it feels a bit more smooth and free flowing to switch through her different moves when tilting the direction or moving from an uppercut to a drop kick, to a cyclone or any combination of moves XD Personally I like being able to do two uppercuts, including one in the air now. I find it very useful to keep in the air for a little longer before I can dragon boost up an edge.

And speaking of the dragon boost, that too has been adjusted for the better. Nope you can't go straight up or down XD But you can now cancel midway in your dragon boost. This by far is my favorite tweak they've given Lilac, because a common complaint I would hear is how gameplay with her would almost come to a halt if you used her dragon boost at a wrong point and needed it to clear a gap. Now with Lilac's canceling ability, you can back out of an ill timed dragon boost and you'll have less time to wait for it to charge up again if you're quick enough. In addition when canceling out, it leaves a small projectile at the location she canceled that'll damage enemies if they walk into it or if its placed on them for as long as it remains. Pretty nice to use on the boss while pummeling its other side in this demo.

Also I really like the more confident 'Cyclone!' that Lilac now says, there's just something about it that really helps emphasize that she's older, more experienced and confident XD Carol's animations for guarding is still probably my favorite of the bunch, but I really like how Lilac pulls them off too. Aside from that there's not much more I feel I can say, Lilac is fun, fast and more rounded out, and that makes me excited to see how this game will handle with more stages in the full game!

What are you're thoughts on the characters and the game so far? And who's your favorite play style? I do still plan to do Milla, and I'll have to figure something out for Neera xD

This is super smooth Mike. Dang one again I'm getting left behind lol.

But yeah I love the way you kept the motions intact without her hair flying around everywhere. I think she's the only model I had who actually has hair motions lol.

Anyway can't wait to see what you do with the others
